Paul Strickland

Benson, NC:  Rev. Paul Brine Strickland, age 96, of 404 George Street went to his heavenly home Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be ­­­­Rev. Randy Beasley  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.             Rev. Strickland was born December 18, 1923 in Johnston County to the late William David and Katheline Holmes Strickland.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Julia Garcia Strickland; and daughter, Kathy Sheranko. Rev. Strickland served our nation in the Air Force for 2 Years and later retired from the Navy after 28 years. He was an ordained minister and was also a member of Lee’s Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Betty Clark of Virginia Beach, VA; grandsons, Billy Clark II and wife, Laura of Fayetteville, NC, Brian Clark and wife, Brandy of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jamie Warren of Norfolk, VA; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Irene Carter and husband, Lee of Four Oaks and John Strickland of Benson; son-in-law, Sam Sheranko; and numerous nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM, Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.             Online condolences may be expressed at www.roseandgraham             Funeral arrangements by Rose and Graham Funeral Home, Benson, NC.
