Dunn, NC:  Mrs. Pauline Stephenson Sorrell, age 89, of Sorrell Lane passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Sorrell’s life and her Christian faith will be 11:00AM Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Curtiss Tatum, Rev. Michael Preddy, and Rev. John Rogers. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sorrell, born September 14, 1921 in Harnett County to the late Mack and Lula Avery Stephenson, was the last surviving member of the Stephenson family.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thurman N. Sorrell; Sisters, Lula Mae Stephenson, Vada Lea S. Tarrants, Dorothy Wilma S. Parrish, and Mary Alice S. Flora; Brothers, Lloyd Walter Stephenson, Shelton Wade Stephenson, Robert Roger Stephenson, Grover Grant Stephenson, Leo Henderson Stephenson, Avery Holden Stephenson, Mack Haywood Stephenson, and Carlie Stephenson. Mrs. Sorrell was a nurse’s aide at Good Hope Hospital and was a homemaker. She was a very dedicated member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.  She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will always be missed. Surviving include Children and Spouses, Brenda S. & Duke Jones of Raleigh, T. Wayne & Joyce Sorrell of Youngsville, Ruth S. Lacy of Garner, Pam S. Parker of Coats, and K. Trent & Connie Sorrell of Dunn; Brother-in-law, Tommie Flora of Kentucky; 11 Grandchildren, Clint & Cody Sorrell, Anthony Williams, Buffy Marcom, Douglas & Bradley Sorrell, Lynn Cherry, Kristie Atkins, Robert Parker, and Trina & Sabrina Jones; 22 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Hodges Chapel PFWB Church Memorial Fund, 780 Hodges Chapel Road, Benson,
