Peggy Dale Wallace Smith

Four Oaks, NC:  Mrs. Peggy Dale Wallace Smith, age 82, of Juniper Church Road passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 at The Enclave Assisted Living in Clayton. Graveside Funeral Service will be held-11:00 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Faith Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Allen Stanley.  

Mrs. Smith was born on March 8, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Arthur and Virginia Dunn Wallace. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Langdon and sisters, Barbara Johnson and Judy Blackmon. Prior to retirement she was an office administrator with Hutchison and Associates of Raleigh. She was a member of Faith Original Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks where she adored her church family and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved taking walks outside, enjoyed flowers, and collecting angels but more than anything she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

            Surviving includes her husband of 55 years, LeRoy Smith, of Four Oaks; sons, LeRoy Smith, Jr. and wife, Lynne, of Currie and Mark Smith and wife, Tina, of Clayton; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and husband, John, Jessica Smith, Alex Smith and wife, Shannon, and Jonathan Smith; great grandsons, Easton and Grayson Smith; sister, Jean Byrd of McGee’s Crossroads; and many nieces and nephews.

            The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at Faith Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
