Peyton Isaac Lee

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Peyton Isaac Lee, age 21, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Tee’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church 6434 Brogden Road, Smithfield, NC 27577. Burial will follow in Faith Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery 560 Webb Mill Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Revs. Allen Wayne Stanley, Johnny Sullivan, Jonathan Pearce and Chuck Owens will officiate.

Peyton was born on June 30, 2001 in Wake County, NC to Gary Wayne and Janet Corbett Lee of Four Oaks, NC.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. James Isaac Corbett and Elsie Taylor Wilder.  A 2019 graduate of South Johnston High School, Four Oaks, Peyton continued his education at the University of Mount Olive where he was a senior, studying Environmental and Natural Resources.  On June 6, 2019, he was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 95 in Smithfield, NC. He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. An old soul is certainly a good description of Peyton. He loved his family to no end; he loved his church family, friends, his community, Alan Jackson, tradition, and Jesus! He was more than “full of life”, he was “full of trustworthiness and loyalty” It all seems so unfair.  

Survivors in addition to his parents include his sister, Reagan Lee of the home, his grandparents, Susan Corbett, Cecil and Carolyn Lee, Wayne Lee, and Jesse Wilder; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

There will be an open-door visitation on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 11:30AM-1:45PM at Tee’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church The family will not be present during this time; however, they are receiving friends at the home 1814 Hockaday Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.  

Memorials may be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home PO Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557 or to Cragmont Assembly 1233 North Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
