Rachel Lassiter

Clayton: Mrs. Rachel Magdalene Lassiter,  age 92,  of 107 Antler Drive passed away Wednesday at the Bryan Center in Clayton.  Graveside Funeral services will be held  3:00PM Monday at Selma Memorial Gardens, Selma.  Rev. Phillip Barnes will officiate.   Mrs. Lassiter was born February 3, 1922 in Johnston County to the late Carl & Betty Pilkington Ennis.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Elwood Bass and Linwood Lassiter, daughter, Mary Lynn Cooper, son, Jimmie Hubert Bass, great-granddaughter, Melissa Rutker and brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lassiter retired from Burlington Mills and was a member of Believer's Baptist Church, Wilson Mills. Surviving include  son and daughter-in-law, Thomas & Judy Bass of Wilson Mills, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sister, Emma Lou Gilbert of Middlesex; brothers, Johnnie Ennis of Wilson Mills and Marvin Ennis of Texas; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends 1:30PM - 2:30PM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Four Oaks prior to the graveside service. Flowers are welcomed, however the family request memorials be sent to Thomas Bass, P.O. Box 55, Smithfield, NC 27577. Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
