Rachel Tart Pleasant

Angier, NC: Mrs. Rachel Tart Pleasant, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunn, NC.  Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC.  Rev. Chuck Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery in Coats, NC.

Mrs. Pleasant was born on December 28, 1941 in Harnett County, NC to the late Raymond Allen Tart and Lessie Pearl Tew Tart.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Donald Pleasant, brothers, Maylon Tart and wife, Patricia Tart Dorman, and Junior Tart. Mrs. Pleasant retired from the Insurance Industry and was a homemaker. Mrs. Pleasant enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time at the beach. She was a member of Coats Community Church in Coats, NC.   

Survivors include her children, Donald Alan Pleasant, and wife, Gwen, and Donna P. Zuniga and husband, Humberto, all of Angier, NC; grandchildren, Anna Jo Koch and husband, Joshua, Paige Dorman and husband, Johnathon and Bella Zuniga; great-grandchildren, Finley Koch, Alaina Dorman, and Willa Grey Dorman; sister-in-law, Pam Tart of Coats, NC; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC and other times at the home of Donna Zuniga 711 Clayton Road, Angier, NC 27501.
