Ransom Wade Dunn

Benson, NC:  Mr. Ransom Wade Dunn, age 81 of 2049 NC 242 North died Saturday at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Benson.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.   Officiating will be Revs. Randy Beasley and Herbert Johnson.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.            Mr. Dunn was born in Johnston County on February 21, 1935 to the late David P. and Ida Mae McLamb Dunn.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Louise Lee, Eloise Hall and Doris Barber and a brother, L.E. Dunn.   Mr. Dunn was a farmer and with the help of his family owned and operated Dunn's Garden Center in Benson. He was a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.           Surviving include, wife of 57 years, Rebecca "Becky" Johnson Dunn; sons and daughter-in-law, Tony and Cathy Dunn of Coats, and Roger Dunn and friend, Angela Wilson  of Apex; daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Stephen Wood of Benson; grandchildren, Tonya and David Baker, Cody and Parrish Dunn, Amanda Dunn, Ayden Wood and Maggie Wood; great-grandchildren, Jackson Baker, Caroline Baker and Addison Dunn; daughter-in-law, Teresa Oldham of Benson; brothers and sister-in-law, Junior Dunn of Linden and Lynwood and Sandra Dunn of Wendell; many nieces and nephews.           The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
