Raymond Barbour

Raleigh, NC: Mr. Raymond S. Barbour, age 77, of 412 Winterlochen Drive died Saturday, December 17, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday, December 19, 2011, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. R. B. Parrish. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery. Mr. Barbour was born October 14, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Charlie Braxton and Betty Margaret Roberts Barbour. He retired after 49 years of service as an engineer with Aeroglide, Incorporated. Mr. Barbour was a member of Turner Memorial Baptist Church in Garner and a member of the Garner Optimist Club. He also served in the North Carolina National Guard. Survivors include his Wife of 54 years, Glenda Byrd Barbour; Daughter & Son-In-Law, Shannon & Gregg Norris of Garner; Sister, Dorothy Stephenson of Willow Spring; Brothers, Earl Barbour of Benson, Merlin Barbour, and Tommy Barbour both of Willow Spring; Grandchildren, Nicole Jordan, Brianna Norris, and Keegan Norris. The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson from 1:00PM to 1:45PM Monday, December 19, 2011, prior to the service. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Turner Memorial Baptist Church, 3704 Benson Road, Garner, NC  27529.
