Rebecca Ann Jones

New Bern, NC: Mrs. Rebecca Ann Jones, age 67, of New Bern passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Brother Jim Henderson. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn, NC. 

Mrs. Jones was born on November 18, 1956 in Muskingum County, Ohio to the late Edwin Foster and Clara Ann Grundy Campbell. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey A. Jones, Sr. and brothers, Isaac Campbell and Mike Campbell. Rebecca was born in Zanesville Ohio. The second of 11 children. Family was the most important thing to her throughout her entire life. After marrying her husband Jeff, they were blessed with 3 children. And while she worked multiple factory jobs, her main occupation was a homemaker. Her life centered around her children and 4 grandchildren. She never wanted to miss out on any time when the family could be together. If you were a friend of hers, she loved you like family as well, and took a great interest and joy in the happenings of their lives. Her love for family and friends was only surpassed by her love of God and faith in Jesus. She filled her days with scriptures, and listening to church service and gospel music. She lived a godly life and it brings us comfort to know that she is in his hands now. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey A. Jones, Jonathan P. Jones and wife, Jessica, and Misty Jones Johnson and husband, Cody; grandchildren, Cameron L. Jones, Cayden B. Jones, Addison B. Jones, Gavin B. Jones; siblings, Ella Untied and husband, Charles of Frazeyburg, Ohio, Edwin Campbell and wife, Nancy of Frazeyburg, Ohio, Mary Stover and husband, Richard of Akron, Ohio, Frederick Campbell and wife, Patty of Michigan, Clyde Campbell and wife, Sue of Zanesville, Ohio, Wilbur Campbell and wife, Luann of Columbus, Ohio, Patricia Loomis of Newark, Ohio, and Joseph Campbell of Newark, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. 

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
