Rebecca Braswell Martin

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Braswell Martin, age 84, of 575 F Spring Lake Road died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018 at Beulah Hill Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC.  Rev. Sam Blackmon will officiate. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield.           Mrs. Martin was born on December 16, 1934, in Brunswick County to the late Percy Ezell and Nina Danford Braswell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" Martin; brothers, Percy Elbert Braswell and Jessie Braswell. Prior to relocating to Four Oaks from the Raleigh area, she was an active member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and developed the perceptual motor skills lab for developmentally challenged students at Swift Creek Elementary School. Mrs. Martin was the chief financial officer with Bec-Ed Rentals as well as a homemaker and member of Beulah Hill Christian Church where she served in many capacities.             Surviving include her children, John Martin, Thomas Martin and wife, Betty, all of Four Oaks, Wade Martin and wife, Bambi, of Clayton, and Ellen Ennis Smith and husband, Pj, of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Cara Martin, Reagan Martin, Lillie Martin, Becka Sommersett and husband, Corey, and Geoffrey Ennis; great-grandson, Logan Sommersett; sister, Janie Brushaber; many nieces and nephews.                The family will receive friends from 12:45 PM-1:45 PM prior to the service in the fellowship hall at Beulah Hill Christian Church.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be sent to Beulah Hill Christian Church Memorial or Mission Fund, 1701 Keen Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
