Coats: Mrs. Rebeth Parrish Mitchell, age 103, of 545 Denning Road died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday at Coats Baptist Church. Officiating will be Revs. Jesse Mooney, Jerome Pope and Rodney Baker. Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Angier.
Mrs. Mitchell was born August 20,1912 in Harnett County to the late Eddie Lester and Margaret Ethel Langdon Parrish. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Burnice " Bunnie" Mitchell; daughter, Gaynelle Young; sisters, Golda Parrish, Audrey Burtchette, and Thelma Mason; brothers, Raeford Parrish and Rupert Parrish. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker, member of Coats Baptist Church, Coats Senior Citizens Club, Home Extension Club of NC and Banner Post 109 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Benson.
Surviving are daughter, Lou Lamm of Angier; sisters, Marva Lee Whittington of Raleigh, and Joyce Carter of Angier; grandchildren, Sybil and Bobby Norris, Dale and Ernie Young, Nancy Mabry, Dennis Young, Dickie Lamm and Michael Hall, Mickie and Michelle Lamm, Donna and Rick Peery, and Bill and Karen Lamm; eleven great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 6:00PM - 8:00PM Friday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home.
