Reverend R. Blair Little

Reverend R. Blair Little was born on July 19, 1932, to the late Vann and Daisy Little in Union County, NC. On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, surrounded by family, Rev. Little entered his heavenly home, joining his wife of 64 years, Rachel Cloer Little. Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Alexis Baptist Church, 118 Alexis Church Road, Alexis, NC 28006. Rev. Dan Deaton will officiate.

Rev. Little grew up at the Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville, NC (Mills Home) and enjoyed keeping in touch with his Mills Home family. He graduated from Gardner-Webb Junior College, Wake Forest University, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and was proud to have served as a Marine. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and playing golf. He also taught math and Bible in several schools throughout NC.
Rev. Little loved his family. He and Mrs. Little were so proud of their sons Stephen Little
(Robbie), Robert Little (Robin) and Kenneth Little (Janet), grandchildren Melissa Peduzzi (Ryan), Michael Little (Kallie) and David Little (Sara), and great-grandchildren, Hudson Peduzzi and Judah Peduzzi. He had four sisters, Edith Caldwell (deceased), Frances Little (deceased), Margaret Bowers (deceased) and Ruth Bullins of Thomasville, NC.
Rev. Little always had a strong call to the ministry and served his Lord and Savior faithfully for many years. He served as pastor at several NC churches including Huntsville Baptist Church in Yadkinville, Siloam Baptist Church in Harrells, and Spring Garden Baptist Church in New Bern. In retirement, he continued to serve God’s kingdom in many capacities at Pleasant Memory Baptist Church in Buies Creek.
For Rev. Little, there truly was no place like home, and we are comforted knowing he is finally home. His faith is now sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and we rejoice in the legacy of love and service he leaves us.

A time of visitation will be held 9:00AM-5:00PM, Friday, April 30, 2021, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for all services.
