Rickey Dean Wyatt

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ricky Dean “Rick” Wyatt, age 65, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by his loving family. A Private Service will be held.

Rick was healed when he heard the Father say, “Well done my good and faithful servant!” He was preceded in death by his parents, Sammy and Juanita Wyatt, and his step-daughter, Alison Caroline Beal. Rick served in the US Army, and loved the American Flag.  He worked for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety as an Eastern Regional Maintenance Supervisor for 23 years. He only left his job after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 54.

He was a member of Beulah Hill Church, and a faithful friend of Blackman’s Grove PFWB Church.  Rick was a helper.  Whether he was building a swing set, cutting grass for a neighbor, or grilling cheeseburgers at South Johnston Football games, it was done with every ounce of love he possessed.

Rick is survived by his wife, Lana Hudson Wyatt; stepson, Carter Beal both of Four Oaks, NC; and his sisters, Judy Wyatt and Patricia Cardona Wyatt.

Having a loving, dedicated caregiver is invaluable. Rick loved spending his days watching westerns, and talking to his “best friend”, Jeremy Beal.  We will forever be grateful for you.

In lieu of flowers, it was Rick’s wish for everyone to do a good deed in his memory.  When performing your act of service, speak Rick’s name, and thank God for welcoming him into the Realms of Glory.
