Robert Gauldin

Buies Creek, NC: Mr. Robert Clarence Gauldin, age 97, of Buies Creek died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Officiating will be Elder Harold Pittman, Elder Ralph Gaines, Elder Garland Vick and Mr. Keith Parrish. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. Mr. Gauldin was born September 10, 1915 in Rockingham County to the late James Oliver and Kate Gauldin. He had retired form the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Gauldin was a member of Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, and in his early years played professional baseball in the Tobacco State League. Surviving include his wife of 78 years, Lula Neal Gauldin; Children & Spouses, Paul Gauldin of Buies Creek, Ruth Fleming of LaGrange, Larry & Janet Gauldin of Coats, Vicky & Mike Lasater of Buies Creek, and Patsy & Keith Parrish of Coats; Nine Grandchildren; and Eighteen Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to E. Carlton Powell Hospice House, 185 Pine Street, Lillington, NC  27546.
