Robert Jones

Mr. Robert Lester Jones, age 75, of Apex went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Graveside Memorial Service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Barefoot Cemetery in Benson.RL was born November 18, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Lester Jones and Amelia Cathern Smith Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife,  Glenda Carolyn Evans Jones; infant son, Samuel Lester Jones and sister, Edna Jones Byrd. RL retired from his custom cabinet shop business in Apex and was an avid fisherman.RL is survived by his sons, Robert Glenn Jones and Donnie Wayne Jones and wife, Rhonda; siblings, Helen Jones Cline, Katie Jones Beasley and Kathryn Jones Price; grandchildren: Kimberly Jones Lee and husband Bryan, Chad Jones, Samuel Jones and Hollie Jones.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, 302 Tortuga Lane, Surf City, NC 28445.Service Information
