Robert Parker

Benson, NC:  Mr. Robert Allen Parker, age, 76, of 6551 Old Fairground Road, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019.  Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Dr. Elvin Butts and Mr. Parker's son, David Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.                           Mr. Parker was born on September 23, 1942 in Harnett County to the late David Sherrill and Naomi Miller Parker.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired insurance agent and a US Air Force Veteran.  He was also a licensed  pilot, flight instructor and enjoyed running marathons.                 Surviving include his wife of 57 years,  Carolyn Allen Parker; son and daughter-in-law, David and Janel Parker of Benson; grandchildren, Daniel Parker and wife, Carey of Virginia; Dana Parker of Wake Forest; David J. Parker and wife, Crystal and Lindsey Parker all of Benson; great-grandchildren, Ethan Parker, Paxton Parker and Jana Beth Parker; and sister; Pansy Norris of Benson.              The family will receive friends 9:45AM-10:45AM Saturday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.               In lieu of flowers; the family suggest memorials be made to Friendly Chapel Church, 11455 NC Hwy 50 North, Benson, NC  27504.                 Arrangements by Rose &Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
