Robert J. "R.J." Beasley

Dunn, NC: Mr. Robert J. "R.J." Beasley, age 87, died Monday, April 6, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. A private graveside service will be held.             Mr. Beasley was born June 9, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Robert Darius and Hattie Barefoot Beasley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Lou Surles Beasley; two sons, Jimmy Darius Beasley and Timmy Fulton Beasley. Mr. Beasley retired from farming and running R.J.'s Country Store. He was a member of the Masonic Relief Lodge #431 in Benson,   Surviving include his children, Jerry and Teresa Beasley of Cary, Wanda and Gerald Williford of Benson; grandchildren, Chris Williford and wife, Tina of Benson and Victoria Beasley-Maher and husband, Christopher Acton-Maher of San Francisco, CA; great- grandchildren, Blake Williford and Caroline Williford; brothers, Earl Beasley of Dunn, Shelton Beasley and wife, Elaine of Dunn; sisters, Violet Thompson and husband, Earnest of  La Crosse, Virginia; Florine Pierce and husband, Rev. Gerald of Bracey, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.      Due to the current health concerns the family understands you are not able to join them for the graveside service.
