Rose Marie Conley

Newton Grove, NC: Mrs. RoseMarie “Bobbi” Conley, age 79, of Newton Grove, NC passed away at Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on October 15, 2022 at the Taste of Heaven Campground fellowship hall in Newton Grove.  Pastor Randy Beasley will officiate.  A private internment will be held at Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro at a later date. 

Mrs. Conley was born on December 3, 1942 in Anson County, NC to the late Scipio Weldon and Marie Chandler Whisnant. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, S.W. “Zip” Whisnant IV and John Chandler Whisnant as well as her nephew Tom Whisnant.  Survivors include her husband, Pastor Paul Conley; sons, Charles Ruvolis, Jr. (Michelle) and David Ruvolis; her daughter, Susan Ruvolis Spencer (Courtland), her grandchildren Brooks Ruvolis, Ali Ruvolis, Ty Ruvolis, Emilee Morris, Erika Ruvolis, Max Ruvolis, Hailey Spencer, Charles Spencer and Chandler Spencer.  She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and 4 nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Conley was an Activities Director prior to retirement but throughout her life she enjoyed many jobs and hobbies.  She owned and taught dance at the Bobbi Ruvolis School of Dance in Greensboro, NC. throughout the 1980’s.  Mrs. Conley was a classically trained pianist.  She enjoyed being the choir director at many of the churches she attended throughout her lifetime, including the Taste of Heaven Campground and the Country Chapel in the Pines at Sycamore Lodge, in Jackson Springs, NC.  where she also enjoyed planning vacation bible school for many summers prior to her passing.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and she will truly be missed.
