Roy Nordan

Benson, NC:  Mr. Roy Fulton Nordan, age 88, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, April 30, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Rev. Richard McKeel and Rev. R. B. Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow in the Nordan Family Cemetery. Mr. Nordan was born November 30, 1923 in Johnston County to the late Fulton and Ella Stevens Nordan.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Nordan.  Mr. Nordan served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Banner Post 109.  He was a farmer, a minister and a member of Stevens Chapel Church.  Surviving are Wife of 68 years, Lottie Suggs Nordan; Sons & Daughter-in-law, James Roy “J. R.” & Gail Nordan of Willow Spring and Darryl Nordan of Benson; Daughters & Son-in-Law, Jo Ann & David Sleeper of Erwin, Sandra Coats of Dunn, and Renee Nordan of the home; 7 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, April 29, 2012 and other times at the home of Sandra Coats, 1086 Tilghman Road, Dunn, NC  28334.
