Rudy Dunn

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Rudy Dunn, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Bethel Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 3168 NC HWY 96 S, Four Oaks, NC 27524.  

Mr. Dunn was born on November 17, 1951 in Rockville, Maryland to the late Abram Rudolph and Evelyn Faye Stanley Dunn.  Mr. Dunn retired from the San Diego, California Police Department where he served as an officer and detective. Following retirement in California, Mr. Dunn moved to Johnston County, NC, where he worked with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Department serving as a deputy.

Surviving include his wife of 37 years, Dee Dunn; children, Jenell Stewart, Reva Dunn and husband, Jeremy Jordan, and Lee Dunn and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Savannah Stewart, Jake Stewart, Collin Allen, Fay Jordan and Daisy Dunn; sisters, Wanda Brigham and Gina Thompson, and a brother, Jeff Dunn; many nieces, nephews and cousins.                            

The family will receive friends following the graveside service on Wednesday.
