Coats, NC:  Ms. Sadie Frances Parrish Melvin, age 75, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Newport, NC. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Rev. Turner Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery. Ms. Melvin was born October 2, 1936 in Harnett County to the late Aldridge and Maxine Coats Parrish.  She was a home health caregiver and a homemaker.  Surviving are Sons & Daughters-in-law, Keith & Lynn Johnson of Wade and Harold & Angie Melvin, Jr. of Cedar Creek; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Penny & Mark Holland of Erwin, Brenda & Donald Jackson of Newport, and Amy Wilkerson of Kenly; Sisters, Joyce Turner of Dunn, Patricia Nordan of Alabama, and Betty Turlington of Franklin; 5 Grandchildren; and Several Nieces & Nephews. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM to 1:45PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Penny & Mark Holland, 304 S. 15th Street, Erwin, NC.
