Angier, NC: Mrs. Sharon Annette Merritt, age 48, 672 Bethel Church Road passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Rex UNC Healthcare in Raleigh. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Sansom Community Church, 2896 Arrowhead Road Dunn, NC 28334. Officiating will be Revs. Jerome Pope and Steven Tart. Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Angier.             Mrs. Merritt was born on February 2, 1971 in Harnett County. She was a teacher's assistant at Coats Elementary School and a member of Sansom Community Church in Dunn. Mrs. Merritt was also a US Army Veteran serving during the Persian Gulf War.             Surviving are her husband, Sherrial Merritt; children, Erica Gaddy, Keigan Gaddy, and Kayleigh Merritt all of the home; parents, Sybil Norris and husband, Bobby of Angier, Danny Wray Matthews and wife, Debbie of Willow Spring; grandmother, Ethel Lou Lamm of Angier; brothers and sisters, Miranda Johnson and husband, James of Angier, Daniel Matthews and Kristy of Fuquay-Varina, Shanon Matthews of Angier, Brandy Norris and Lateef of Clayton; several nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends 6:00PM - 8:00PM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Sansom Community Church and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Sansom Community Church for the Sharon Merritt Benefit P.
