Fuquay Varina, NC:  Mrs. Shelby Stephenson Cobb, age 73, of 5305 Scott Road died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Graveside Funeral Service will be 3:00PM Friday, June 1, 2012, at St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Benson.  Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Jones. Mrs. Cobb was born in Johnston County, NC on March 18, 1939 to the late Thylmore and Bessie Blackman Stephenson. She was a homemaker and a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina.  Surviving are husband, Fonzo Cobb; Children, Steve Cobb & wife, Dina, of Apex, and Deborah Cobb of Fuquay Varina; Grandsons, John Cobb and Matthew Cobb; and Sisters, Itha Byrd of Dunn, Donnie McLeod of Fuquay Varina, Shirley Elliot of Garner, Peggy Stetler of Garner, Judy Byrd of Benson, Carolyn Champion of Benson, Brenda Harper of Benson, and Cherry Horory of Virginia. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, May 31, 2012.
