Sheila Gray Stanley Parker

Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Sheila Parker, better known as G-Ma, went home to be with the Lord, early in the morning on Sunday, May 7, 2023.  Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC.  Rev. Mike Courtney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery outside Four Oaks, NC.

Ms. Parker was born on April 28, 1947 to the late William “Willie” and Gertie Stanley of Four Oaks, NC. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ed and Norwood Stanley, sister-in-law, Geneva “Gee” Stanley, sister, Lois Massengill Stanley, and loving nieces, Cathie Joe Stanley and Linda Massengill Martin. Ms. Parker was a devoted member of Hannah Creek Church and loved her church family.  She took pride in being a member of the church and doing as much as she could for her “Little” Church.  She truly found her a church home there and voiced how blessed she was that God had led her there.

Ms. Parker enjoyed sending cards to everyone for all occasions. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, a simple hello, or sending one to her grandchildren to celebrate high grades, or a special event at school. This brought so much joy, and caused many trips to the post office for stamps. Ms. Parker was proud of her grandchildren, and loved being G-Ma.  She enjoyed telling stories about each of her grandchildren, from sitting on the patio looking at the birds with her grandson to the smile on her granddaughter’s face.  She would always say “We’ll Keep Him, referring to her son-in-law.

Ms. Parker also loved to visit McDonald’s with her niece, Brenda Barefoot and husband, James, along with Gwen and her church friends. She would always say she was “Going to sit with the old folks”.

She is survived by her daughter, Robbie Lynn and husband, Dustin Norris of Four Oaks, NC; grandchildren, Matthew and Lacey; sister, Joyce Stanley of Camden, SC; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her “I consider them one of my children” kids.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, and other times at the home of her daughter.
