Shelia Kay Penny

Benson, NC: Ms. Shelia Kay Penny age 64, passed at McLamb’s Rest Home in Benson, NC surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Graveside Funeral Services will be 1:00PM-Monday, February 5, 2024 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC.  Rev. Wanda Barrier will officiate. 

Shelia was born on April 3, 1959 in Johnston County, NC to the late Irvin E. and Inez Sorrell Penny.   She was also preceded in death by a brother James E. Penny.  As a longtime resident of McLamb’s Rest Home she enjoyed her diet coke, her sweet baby doll Mrs. Beasley, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Survivors include several cousins, and the employees and residents of McLamb’s Rest Home.
