Sherrill Peacock

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Sherrill Edwin Peacock, age 81, of 2314 Hannah Creek Road died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield.  A funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.  Rev. Michael Bassett and Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate.  Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery. Mr. Peacock was born March 3, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Eric and Bertha Webb Peacock.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Edwin Peacock; and brothers, Valton Peacock, Dallas Peacock, and Ray Peacock.  Mr. Peacock was a 1949 graduate of Meadow High School and served in the U. S. Army.  He was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church and was a farmer. Surviving are wife of 60 years, Willadean Johnson Peacock; daughter & son-in-law, Brenda P. & Timmy McLamb of Benson; daughter-in-law, Cathy M. Peacock of Benson; grandchildren & spouses, Edwin & Kim Peacock, William & Krystal Peacock, and Stephanie M. & Scott Williams; great grandchildren, Connor, Audrey, and Caleb Peacock; sister, Catholine Price of Four Oaks; brothers, Russell Peacock of Mississippi, Gordon Peacock of California, and Larry Peacock of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, February 8, 2013.
