Sherry Allen

January 25, 1949 — October 2, 2018

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Sherry Thomas Allen, age 69, of 2444 Parkertown Road went home to be with the Lord Tuesday October 2, 2018  at Wake Med in Raleigh. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Revs. Gerald Blake and Raymond Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Johnny Allen Family Cemetery at the home.       Mrs. Allen was born on January 25, 1949 in Brunswick County to the late Ernest Ray Thomas Sr. and Grace Madeline Riggins Thomas. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Allen; granddaughter, Chelsea Mae Lee; sisters, Faye King and Debra Sasser; and brother, Ernie Thomas.   Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and member of Day Star United Pentecostal Church in Dunn, NC. She was a Godly Lady and spent her life for the Lord. She never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone and was blessed with this gift. Her kitchen was always open to anyone day or night. One of her greatest joys was to have her family together and feed them.   Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Johnny Allen; daughter, Cynthia Whaley of Smithfield; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Donovan Guignard of Four Oaks; son and daughter-in-law, Jesse Jr. and Theresa Lee of Four Oaks; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and David Sanders of Four Oaks; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Alma Hayes of New York; brother, George Thomas of South Port; many  nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday at  Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Flowers are welcomed.
