Shirley Rutherford Flowers

Angier, NC: Mrs. Shirley Rutherford Flowers, age 77, of Angier passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Monday, November 11, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Cameron. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. 

Mrs. Flowers was born on December 11, 1946 in Guilford County to the late Claude and Marie Rutherford. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Clyde Flowers and her daughter, Rhonda Flowers. She worked for Teddy Byrd Insurance Company for many years and loved her community. She enjoyed her church and her church family, would help anyone in need, and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Surviving includes her daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and John Coupee; grandchildren, Mandi Cash and husband, Jamie, Brandon Vann, Leanna Coupee, Brittney Coupee, Chasity Hoffman and husband, Josh, and Isaiah Coupee; and six great grandchildren. 

The Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Vanessa and John Coupee, 600 E. I Street in Erwin.
