Shirley Violet Keene Parker

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Shirley Violet Keene Parker, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Friday, July 29, 2022 at Unity Advent Christian Church 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.  Rev. Darren Brisco and Elder Tony Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Keene Family Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.

Mrs. Parker was born on October 24, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late Theron and Mildred Lassiter Keene. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Bright Parker, son, William Christopher “Chris” Parker, brothers, Charles Keene, Bobby Keene and Edward Keene and a sister, Ann Hargis. Mrs. Parker was a retired LPN, working at Johnston Memorial Hospital and Dr. Thomas Johnson General Practitioner in Smithfield, NC. She was a homemaker who enjoyed serving others with her baking, canning, crocheting and sending cards. Her greatest loves were spending time with her family and serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of Unity Advent Christian Church outside Four Oaks, NC.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Parker and wife, Janet, Gary Parker and wife, Diane, Keith Parker and wife, Darlene, and Alan Parker and wife, Ann; daughter-in-law, Shannon Parker; grandchildren, Michelle Irwin and husband, Lyle, Hope Overby and husband, Clint, Karen Earp and husband Will, Crystal Kinsland and husband, John, Michael Parker and wife, Samantha, Ashley Parker and wife, Kealy, Chris Price and wife, Elizabeth, Matthew Parker and wife, Summer, Patrick Parker, and Stephen Parker and wife, Jessica; 20 great-grandchildren;   brothers, Rev. Billy Keene and Max Keene; sister-in-law, Edna Keene; many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Unity Advent Christian Church 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
