Benson:  Mrs. Sue Denning Godwin, age 80, of 2065 Woodall Dairy Road died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday January 20, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Mr. Lacey McDade and Mr. Clint Jernigan. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.Mrs. Godwin was born April 13, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Bruce and Rena Barefoot Denning.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Joe Godwin; daughter, Reta Rhodes; sister, Mae Norris; brother, Randy Phillip Denning. Mrs. Godwin retired from the retail industry and was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church.She is survived by children & spouses, Anita & Tim Stevens of Smithfield, and Joey & Donna Godwin of Benson; son-in-law, Tim Rhodes of Clayton; grandchildren, Clint Jernigan, Chase Jernigan, Allison Price, Olivia S. Johnson, Noah Godwin, and Ethan Godwin; and great grandchildren, Ryan Jernigan, Ashley Jernigan, Riley Price, Annie and Oakley Jernigan; sisters and brother-in-law, Margie and Bill Duncan of Raleigh, Marie Emmons of Benson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Cheryl Denning of Benson, Dwight and Rachel Denning of Benson, Richard Denning of Virginia; several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM Saturday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.      Online condolences may be expressed at www.roseandgraham.com.Service Information
