Benson, NC: Mrs. Susan Martha Johnson, age 88, of 810 Camellia Road died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Johnston County in Benson. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Roselawn Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jesse Brock. Mrs. Johnson was born January 23, 1924 in Kentucky to the late Thomas B. and Lucy Thomas Hancock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Johnson, and a son, Thomas “Bobby” Johnson. Mrs. Johnson worked in textiles at Bonders and was a homemaker. Surviving include Daughters & Sons-In-Law, Sharon & Kenneth Tedder of Benson and Sandra & Kenneth Capps of Four Oaks; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Gerald & JoAnn Johnson of Benson; Eight Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 and other times at the home of Gerald and JoAnn Johnson, 658 Camelia Rd., Benson, NC. The family expresses a special thanks to Dr. Reddy and the staff of Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
