Susan Avery Rogers

Garner, NC: Mrs. Susan Ann Avery Rogers, age 63, of Glen Road passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Highsmith Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. A Memorial Service will be held-2:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.

Mrs. Rogers was born on January 26, 1960 in Fairfield County, Connecticut to the late George M. Avery Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Carroll Avery. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother- in-law, Edward and Theresa Rogers. Prior to retirement, she worked for Coastal Relocation Services. She loved shopping, going to the beach, traveling, and was an animal lover. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

Survivors include her husband, Carl Rogers; daughter, Rhiannon Day and husband, Chad; granddaughters, Caitlin Kelly and fiancé, Sander Holt, Taylor Kelly and boyfriend, T.J. Wilson, Hayley Faircloth and husband, Luke, and Addison Day; great granddaughter, Emma Faircloth; siblings, Patricia Wasil and husband, John, Joann Cheney, Virginia Ostreicher and spouse, Trent, Mary Jane Maitland, and George Avery, Jr. and wife, Fran; sister-in-law, Patricia Rogers and spouse, Ralph; brothers-in-law, John Rogers and David Rogers and wife, Lisa; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
