Benson, NC: Mrs. Tammy Benson Allen, age 53, of Benson died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. C.H. Lee and Leon Tart. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson. Mrs. Allen was born March 26, 1959 in Johnston County to the late John Rolon and Eloise Jackson Benson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John William Allen.  Mrs. Allen was in the home health care business and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Surviving include Brothers & Sisters-In-Law, J.L. & Priscilla Benson, and Tony & Denise Benson, all of Benson; Fiancé, W. D. Ivey of Benson; Daughter, Leigh Ann Ivey of Benson; Sister-In-Law, Ellen Ivey of Dunn; and Nieces & Nephews. Family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson, and other times at the home of Tony & Denise Benson, 613 Surles Rd., Benson, NC. Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
