Angier, NC: It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Tammy Denise Barefoot Ellis, age 47, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from a lifelong illness. Graveside Services will be held 3:00PM-Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Earp.
Ms. Ellis was born on October 13, 1974 in Harnett County to Alice Barefoot Guin of Angier and the late Carl Barefoot. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her step dad, William Earl Guin. Tammy was a member of several organizations and numerous bike clubs. Tammy was a 1993 Graduate of Triton High School, Erwin, NC. She had many friends that she cherished. She worked for Dunn Daily Record in early adulthood before her health proved that would not be a life option for her. So she gave as much time as possible to Volunteer work with many groups. Some close to her heart like Cub Scout Pack 210 of Tuscarora Council. Where she helped on everything possible, including attending campouts with scouts and their families. Those boys and their families loved Tammy. She loved them more. Tammy never had her own children, however God blessed her to be in the lives of so many children. Tammy enjoyed going to the beach, dancing and riding motorcycles. Tammy loved her God, loved her family and her furry babies Daisy and Molly. She cherished her mother, sister, nieces and nephews. She was so in love with her two great nieces Thea and Peyton and great nephew Jax. She loved so many of us.
We will miss her so very much! Rest assured she will be sitting in heaven watching over us all, awaiting our arrival when that time comes.
Surviving include her sister, Kathy Barefoot Godwin of North Myrtle Beach, step brothers, William Earl Guin, Jr. and his wife Sue, Johnny Brian Guin, nephew, Hunter Logan Godwin, niece, Allison Terrill Gardner, great nieces, Peyton Nicole Terrill and Thea Terrill, great nephew, Jaxon Wayne Gardner, special cousin, JB Barefoot and Alyson Parrish, life long friend, Martie Hill along with her fur babies, Daisy and Molly.
