Terry Gibbs

Benson, NC:  Mr. Terry Joe Gibbs, age 55, of 3084 Hannah Creek Rd. passed away Wednesday June 26, 2013 in Panama City, FL . A memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday July 6, 2013 at the Banner Post 109 American Legion Building in Benson. Officiating will be Mr. Ed Garcia.            Mr. Gibbs was born March 11, 1958 in Johnston County to Charles Henry and Mary Frances Wood Gibbs of Snead's Ferry, NC. He was a retired nurse with Johnston County Medical Center in Smithfield and President of  the North Carolina U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Clubs. Mr. Gibbs was a US Army Veteran.          Surviving in addition to his parents are, Wife of 19 years, Rebecca S. Gibbs of Benson; Son and Daughter-In-Law, Joseph Wayne and Ginger Gibbs of Huntington Beach, California; Step-Children and Spouse, Jennifer Byrd of Benson, Willie Byrd, Jr. of Knightdale, Cynthia and Darrel Owen of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; Twelve Grandchildren; Twelve Great-Grandchildren; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Diane and Tim Honeycutt of Benson; Brother and Sister-in-Law, Larry and Karen Gibbs of Benson; Several Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 1544 Smithfield, NC  27511 or the Disabled American Veterans Department of North Carolina P. O.
