Thomas Keith Barefoot

Mr. Thomas Keith Barefoot age 82 of Dunn, NC went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC.   Burial will follow in the Barefoot Family Cemetery. Rev. Scott Johnson, Rev. Mark Yates and Rev. Greg Barefoot will officiate. 

Keith was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Barefoot and was born on June 6, 1941.   He was a 1959 graduate of Meadow High School where he was active in sports and school activities.  He married Glenda Joy Revels in 1962 and had two sons, Gregory Keith and Brian Thomas Barefoot.  Keith was a man with many talents.  He was creative and compassionate.  He was witty and never met a stranger. He married Margie Young McCarthy in 1989.  Keith retired from Chicopee after 23 years of service.  He and Margie established Quinn Decca Farms.  They moved to Iredell County in 2005 where they made numerous friends and acquaintances and established several businesses.  In 2020 they moved to Dunn where they established their current residence.  Keith was an avid man of faith.  He served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for several years.  Keith and Margie organized a bible study in their home in Statesville as a means of fellowship and growing in knowledge of the word of God.  Keith was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

  In addition to his wife Margie, Keith is survived by his sons Greg and wife Sherri, Brian and wife Tonya, stepsons, Johnny Young, Timmy Young and wife Gail, Tommy Young and wife Robin, stepdaughter, Debbie Crawford, grandchildren, Casey Barefoot and wife Carita, Cody Barefoot and wife Hua, Charlie Barefoot, Darla Barefoot, Robbie Young, Shannon Sauls, Richard Fodrie, Tommy Young, Jr., Adrienne Wilson, and Nathan Crawford.  Great-grandchildren are Corbin, Caleb, Kya, and Rylie Barefoot.   In addition, Keith is survived by two brothers, Clyde Barefoot and wife Gail, and Phil Barefoot.  He has three sisters, Julia B. Wall, Dianne B. Wood, and Sharon B. Burnette and husband Bill. Keith has many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  

Although we are saddened by his passing, we are joyful in knowing that we will meet him again in a great reunion.  

            The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM-Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.

            Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Barefoot Family Cemetery Fund C/O Dianne B. Wood 132 Crystal Place, Benson, NC 27504.
