Thomas Hugh Allen

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Thomas Hugh Allen, age 94 of 1893 Strickland's Crossroads Rd. died Friday at his residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00AM-Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Revs. Walter Gaskins, Freddy Wayne Langston, and John Norman will officiate. Burial will follow at Pauline Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Mr. Allen was born on January 10, 1922 in Johnston County to the late Harvey Milton and Thenia Catherine Adams Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Surles Snead Allen and all his brothers and sisters. Mr. Allen retired from Johnston County as a transportation supervisor after 40 years of service and was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Robbie Benson of Wilmington, Johnnie Sue and Sherwood Lee of Four Oaks, Von and Roy Lee Massengill of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Thomas Wyatt Lassiter, Michelle Capps, Doris Woodall; great-grandchildren, Alex Woodall, Gage Capps, Mazzy Pilkington, Erin Reese; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and other times at the home. The Allen family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Janice Barefoot, and Linda Allen for the loving care they gave Mr. Hugh during his sickness.
