Thomas "Tommy" Cooper

Coats, NC:  Mr. Thomas Ennis “Tommy” Cooper, age 83, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Nowell. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Mr. Cooper was born June 16, 1929 in Harnett County to the late Andrew Jackson and Ethel Ann Ennis Cooper.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Hart Cooper; a son, Charles Glenwood Cooper; and sisters, Betty Hudson, Barbara Allen & Phyllis Cooper.  Mr. Cooper was a textile research machinist and served in the U. S. Army.  He was a member of Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.  Surviving are Sons, Carl Wayne Cooper of Lewisville, NC, Thomas Edward Cooper of Coats, Ray Bennett of Mississippi, and David Bennett of Garner; 6 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren.  Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, July 21, 2012.
