Timmy Earl Barefoot

Benson, NC: Mr. Timmy Earl Barefoot, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 on his farm. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church 343 Woods Crossroads Road, Benson, NC 27504. Revs. Scott Johnson and Doug Abel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barefoot Family Cemetery, Newton Grove, NC.

Mr. Barefoot was born on March 1, 1958 in Harnett County, NC, to the late Carl Talton “Bill” Barefoot and Grace Thornton Barefoot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Todd Barefoot, and siblings, Infant Baby Barefoot, Carl O’Brien “Sammy” Barefoot, and Billy Edward Barefoot. Timmy retired from Hog Slat in Newton Grove, NC as a Quality Control Supervisor. He had a kind and gentle nature, and he loved spending time on his farm with his cows, and fishing at the coast. But by far, his greatest joy was found while in the company of his family which he loved dearly. He will always be remembered for his smile, and he never met a stranger. He was a member of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC. 

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Beth Adams Barefoot; daughter, Lisha B. Sholar and husband, Evan; grandchildren, Bryson Zane Sholar, Evyn Caroline Sholar, Jacob Barefoot, and Taylor Lee; brother, John E. Barefoot, and wife, LaWanda; sisters, Rose B. Jackson, and Sue B. Britt and husband, Larry; sister-in-law, Teresa Barefoot; brothers-in-law, Mike Adams and wife, Becky, and Gary Adams and wife, Tammy; many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, and other times at the home. 

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
