Tommy Wilson Barbour

Willow Springs, NC: Mr. Tommy Wilson Barbour, age 79, of Buckhaven Drive, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Funeral Services will be held-12:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Hilltop Church in Fuquay Varina, NC. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Jones. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier, NC.

Mr. Barbour was born on September 19, 1943 in Johnston County to the late Charlie Braxton and Margaret Roberts Barbour. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Barbour, Merlin Barbour, and Raymond Barbour. Prior to retirement, he worked in Sales and Management in the automotive industry, most recently for Capitol Ford. He attended Hilltop Church.

Surviving include his wife, Ruth Barbour of Willow Springs; daughter, Sharon Smith and husband, Ron of Wake Forest; sons, Matthew Barbour and wife, Audra of Chillicothe, Ohio, Wilson Barbour and wife, Crystal of Willow Springs, and Oliver Barbour of Willow Springs; step daughters, Teresa Batts, Sandra Jones, and Phyllis Moore; 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Stephenson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the service on Thursday at Hilltop Church.
