Tyrus Powell

Coats, NC:  Mr. Tyrus Myron Powell, died Monday, February 11, 2019 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.  Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.             Mr. Powell was born July 31, 1933 in Harnett County to Elvis and Ora Williams Powell. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Graymon Powell and Doris Powell Bowling. Mr. Powell was a Mechanic at Fort Bragg and was a Christian man.             Surviving includes wife of 42 years Joyce Thornton Powell; daughters, Cathy Powell of Zebulon, NC and Charlotte Powell of Coats; step-sons, Mark Patterson and wife, Kendra of Wake Forest, NC, and Brian Patterson and wife, Heidi of Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Kelly Eddins, Jessica Arnold and husband, Jai, Richard Pope, Laura Dennis and husband, Chris, Jaelyn Patterson, Sydney Patterson, Matthew Patterson, and Alivia Patterson; great grandchildren: Roman Arnold, Gracie Arnold, Patricia Eddins, Brodie Warren, Matthew Odom, Jaymie Dennis, and Nathan Dennis.               The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice
