Velma Ellen Beasley Hudson

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Velma Ellen Beasley Hudson, age 82, of East Church Street died Friday, September 6, 2019 at UNC Johnston Healthcare in Smithfield.  Funeral Service will be  2:00 PM, Monday, September 9, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Officiating will be Revs. Bill West and Darren Brisco.  Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.             Mrs. Hudson was born May 13, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Jasper and Elsie McLamb Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie Jirl Daniels and Henry Patrick Hudson; brothers, James L. McLamb, Howard B. Beasley and Carlie D. Beasley; and sister, Ollie Surcey.  Mrs. Hudson worked at Benson Drug Company and retired from Chicopee.  She was a member of Hoods Grove Baptist Church, Newton Grove, NC.             Surviving include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Susan Lynn Daniels and Neal and Sherry Hudson all of Benson; grandchildren, Ethan Hudson and Matthew Hudson; nephews, Larry McLamb and Shayne Beasley.             The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.              Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.              Arrangements by Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
