Velma Creech

Benson, NC :  Mrs. Velma Sorrell Creech age 89 of Benson died Friday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Condary Ellis, Curtiss Tatum, and Michael Preddy. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens, Dunn.  Mrs. Creech was born February 4, 1923 in Harnett County to the late W.T. Sorrell, Sr. and Lula Jackson Sorrell. She was also preceded in death by her Husband, Sherwood “Bill” Creech, and a Daughter, Cathy Creech Lee. Mrs. Creech had retired from Block Industries, and was a homemaker. She was also a member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.             Surviving include; Granddaughter & Grandson-In-Law, Kerry L. and  Joey Wilson of Garner; Grandson, Rodney Lee of Benson Great Granddaughter, Caitlyn Lee; Sisters, Lula Jane Messer of Erwin and Sybil Mabry of Angier; Special Nephew, Greg Creech of Benson. The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
