Vera Evans

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Vera Vaughan Evans, age 83, of 6061 Old Fairground Road died Wednesday at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00PM at Harnett Devotional Gardens. Officiating will be Revs. Steve Morris,  Michael Wilburn and Lester Bledsoe.             Mrs. Evans was born October 7, 1932 in Granville County to the late A. D. and Eva Williamson Vaughan.   She was preceded in death by a brother, Weldon Vaughan. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.             Surviving include, husband, Jack Evans; sons and daughter-in-law, Victor and Susan Evans and Scott Patrick Evans, all of Benson; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Charles Rouse of Apex; sister, Margaret V. Barbour of Benson; brother, William Junius Taylor Vaughan of Stovall, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Evans Austin, and husband, Shane, Victor Wesley Evans, Jr., and Danny Paul Parker; great-grandchildren, Tucker Austin and Madelyn Austin; several nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Harnett Devotional Gardens.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, c/o Jackie Miller, 1272 Two Claude Rd., Willow Spring, NC  27592.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.roseandgraham.com
