Victor "Vic" Evans, Sr.

Benson: Mr. Victor Wesley Evans Sr. "Vic", age 65, of 6243 Benson-Hardee Road, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, August 2, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks.  Officiating will be Rev. Brian Beasley.                Mr. Evans was born on June 29, 1954 in Virginia to Clarence Wesley Evans "Jack" of Benson and the late Vera Vaughan Evans. He was a correctional officer working at Central Prison in Raleigh and retiring as Captain with the Johnston Correctional Institution in Smithfield.                 Surviving in addition to his father include his wife of 46 years, Susan Wynn Evans, children, Melissa Evans Austin and husband, Shane of Smithfield; Victor Wesley Evans Jr. of Smithfield; grandchildren, Tucker Shane Austin and Madelyn Grey Austin of Smithfield; sister, Shelia Evans Rouse and husband, Dan of Apex; brother, Scott Patrick Evans of Benson; best friend, "Romeo" of the home; and many nieces and nephews.              The family will receive friends  at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home of Melissa and Shane Austin,  107 Whitley Drive in Smithfield, NC 27577.                In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the grandchildren's college fund, c/o Susan Evans, 6243 Benson-Hardee Road, Benson, NC 27504.                            Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC 27524
