Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Viola Allen Parker Flowers, age 92, of 715 Sandy Road passed away Tuesday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Rodney Brittian, John Harper and Paul Burgess. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Flowers was born on November 18, 1923 in Johnston County to the late John Robert and Beatrice A. Allen. She was also preceded in death by husband, Elmon Flowers, son, Elwood M. Parker, Jr., daughter, Wanda Sue Flowers, and brothers, Oda Clarence Allen, and Robert Golden Allen. Mrs. Flowers was a homemaker and member of Lee's Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks.
Survivors include children and spouses; Larry and Joyce Parker and Sandra and Jerry Blackmon all of Four Oaks; Joyce and Jimmy Holloman of Selma, and Phyllis Diane Flowers and husband, David Tidd of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Ricky Holloman, Denise Floyd, Ivey Lynn Cathcart, Kristie Ray Atkins, Robert T. Parker, Jerry Scott Blackmon, Kenneth Wayne Blackmon, Lennon Flowers and Benjamin Williams; twelve great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Estelle Godwin of Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 1:00 PM- 2:30 PM Friday prior to the service and other times at the home.
