Wallace Gregory Brame

Raleigh, NC: Mr. Wallace Gregory Brame, age 84, of Blount Street passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. A Graveside Service will be held-3:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Sylvia Rackley. 

Mr. Brame was born on March 25, 1940 in Vance County to the late Nathan and Lola Brame. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Allen Brame; brothers, Edgar Brame, H.T. Brame, Bobby Brame, and Adrian Brame; sisters, Grace Poythress and Judy Breelove; and seeing eye dog and best friend, Happy. Mr. Brame graduated from the Governor Morehead School and went on to achieve his Associates Degree from Brigham Young University. Prior to retirement, he tuned pianos and worked at the Concessions for the Blind at the Induction Center in Raleigh. 

Survivors include his sister, Shirley Clayborne of Oxford; sisters-in-law, Hilda Allen and husband, Larry and Gloria Odell Baker and husband, Sam all of Four Oaks; and brother-in-law, Junior Allen and wife, Darlene of Dunn.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to New Life Fellowship Church of Smithfield at P.O. 2197 Smithfield, NC 27577.
