Benson, NC: Mr. Walter Montgomery Culp, Jr., age 81, of 1545B Hannah Creek Road died Sunday at his residence. Graveside Funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday at Lee's Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Rev. Hubert Morgan and Rev. Mike Courtney will officiate.
Mr. Culp was born April 29, 1933 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Walter Montgomery Culp, Sr. and Edith Chenoweth Culp. He served in the U. S. Army and Marines during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Culp was a director of transportation for Coca Cola and the Army-Air Force Exchange. Mr. Culp was also a driver for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Gloria West Culp; daughters & sons-in-law, Suzanne C. & Robert Krieger of Poquoson, VA, Stephanie C. & Bradley Burch of Centreville, VA; son, Walter M. Hope of GA; grandchildren, Robert Jacob Krieger and Pate Montgomery Krieger; sisters, Charlotte Owen and Carolyn Hopmann, both of Alpharetta, GA; brother, David Culp of Rome, Ga.; and many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson 9:30AM to 10:30AM Friday prior to the service.
