Waylon Benson

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Waylon Lewis Benson, age 86 a resident of Barbour Court Nursing Home died Wednesday.  Graveside Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Piney Grove PFWB Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Sherwood Lassiter. Mr. Benson was born November 23, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Willis Paul and Cora Jane Wilkins Benson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Parrish Benson, and a son, Don Benson. Mr. Benson was a retired carpenter and a member of Piney Grove PFWB Church. Surviving are children, Raymond Lewis Benson of Four Oaks, Charlotte Parker of Benson, Keith Benson of Four Oaks, Allan Benson and wife, Susan of Four Oaks, Deborah Allen of Four Oaks, Laura Johnson of Smithfield; Eleven Grandchildren; Seven Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary one hour prior to graveside service.
