Wayne Lee Hamilton

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Wayne Lee Hamilton, age 73, of E. Sanders Street passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM - Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John Norman. Burial will follow in Four Oaks City Cemetery, Four Oaks.

Mr. Hamilton was born on September 12, 1949 in Montgomery County, NC to the late Donald Lee and Mary Alice Blake Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald “Don” Edward Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was a third-generation logger and owned and operated D & W Logging Company with his wife, Denise. He was a constant presence alongside his brother, Tony at the White Swan Restaurant Pine Level location. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks. His greatest joy was being “Papa” to his grandchildren.

Surviving include his wife, Denise McCullen Hamilton; daughters, Alyssa Hamilton of Four Oaks, Mary-Leigh Hamilton of Smithfield; grandchildren, Carson Rose, Ava Grey, and James Cullen; sister and brothers, Melanie Hamilton McCullen of Smithfield, Richard Bruce Hamilton and wife, Lori of Smithfield, Tony Blake Hamilton and wife, Kathy of Four Oaks; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the committal service at Four Oaks City Cemetery.
